Blog-a-Day May!

Thursday, May 1st 2014

So, May Day has rolled around for this fine year of 2014. I have spent 44 days without writing and, darn it, I really miss it.

So, I announce my intent to write a blog of every day in May.

And, to stay accountable, I have coerced my friend to participate, too! Let’s hear it for Bryan Ray! Who has written a meaningful and poignant blog post for his May 1 entry: Behind every great man, there is a great woman.. And, on mine, you get this inane drivel.

Just hop on the drool-cup bus with me!

To celebrate this move toward content production, I have spent the last hour and a half completely distracted from the act of writing this entry with updating my local installation of jekyll with the github/pages-gem gem that mimics the generation environment of GitHub Pages. Which I do not rely on anymore.

So, there’s that, I guess. Anyway, …

I’ve been working on a node-based project for my company. From that has come two ECMAScript-based libraries.

stork-odm
Stork provides a layer of document management over the CouchDB.
leslie-mvp
A small model-view-presenter framework for express.js.

I’ll probably spend a couple of posts on each of those libraries. I found some real beauty in writing leslie-mvp, so that’ll be fun. For me, at least.

Yeah.

A blog entry every day.

I know you can hardly wait.

And, look, I’m coming in under the wire by 20 minutes.
